Adopting A Dalmatian From The 101 Dalmatians Musical Many of the dogs you will see in the show came from shelters and rescue groups around the country. At the end of the show's run in June 2010*, some of the dogs will be available for adoption. All dogs will be fully vetted, including spay/neuter, vaccines (including rabies and bordetella), and microchip. A full disclosure of any medical or behavioral issues, if any, will be disclosed to all potential adopters, as always. The process for adoption includes a completed Adoption Application (available soon). We will then follow-up with reference checks, a vet reference check, and an in-home visit. We are extremely careful about where we place all of our dogs, and we want them to go to a home where they will be treated as a part of the family. Once an applicant is approved, we match each dog with an applicant so that we ensure it is a forever home for the dog. Although we do not yet know which Dalmatians will be looking for a home, we welcome your application at any time for a Dalmatian currently performing in the 101 Dalmatians Musical**. However, if you would like to help a homeless Dalmatian now, we would welcome your application -- to foster and/or adopt. There are Dalmatians all over the country who need help now, which you’ll discover if you visit adoptapet.com or petfinder.com and search by breed and your zip code. * There is a chance that JSPA may desire that one or more of the Dalmatians continue working in other JSPA productions at the end of the 101 Dalmatians Musical tour. In addition, should the 101 Dalmatians Musical go on an extended tour, the Dalmatians would not be available until the end of that term. In short, June 2010 is an estimated time frame. It could be sooner -- or later -- that the dogs in the show will need to find forever homes. **Receipt of an adoption application in no way guarantees that you will become an approved applicant |
